Napoleon Hill talks about "The Secret" to Think & Grow Rich

⊆ 7:33 AM by khalil bin mokhtar | ˜ 0 comments »If you have been trying to apply the Law of Attraction to change something in your life, but not getting the results that you want, your subconscious programming has probably been getting in the way.
Your mind is made up of two parts - your conscious mind which is basically everything that you are aware of (what we think of as the reasoning, thinking mind), and your subconscious which is all the mental activity that is below or out of conscious awareness (which includes memories, beliefs, values, emotions, intuition and all the automatic processes in the body that we are not consciously aware of like breathing, digestion, elimination, contracting and relaxing muscles and so on).
When you are born, your subconscious is like an empty sponge ready to fill up with feedback from your environment and the people around you. From birth until around age eight, a child’s subconscious takes on the beliefs and values of the important people in their life – parents, older siblings, aunts, uncles, teachers, religious leaders and even television characters that they watch a lot – all without any filtering or examination for truth or relevance.
At the same time, the child also continuously makes decisions about the world and their place in it based on what is happening around them which then also become beliefs stored in the subconscious. So, for example, if you were born into a loving household where all your needs were instantly met, your subconscious would likely have formed beliefs that ‘I am lovable, the world is safe and supportive, and I am always provided for”.
On the other hand, if you were born into a household where your parents were sometimes stressed and arguing, and your needs were sometimes met and sometimes not met, your subconscious would likely have formed beliefs like “I am only loved when … (conditional love), the world is scary and not supportive, and I am not provided for or I am only provided for when … (eg I am good enough, lovable enough, quiet enough, smart enough etc)”.
All these early decisions and unquestioning acceptance of others’ beliefs and values then form the subconscious programming that becomes the filters through which the child, and later adult, see and experience the world. So, if you have a subconscious belief that money is hard to come by, that will be your experience of the world. You will not notice opportunities to bring money in more easily, will not be attracted to, or will be suspicious of jobs that are not ‘hard’. You would probably not even notice, and therefore walk straight past, a $100 bill lying on the sidewalk – all because your subconscious programming has trained you not to see what doesn’t fit into your view of the world.
This happens because of the way that the mind is structured. Whenever you are not using your conscious mind to direct your thoughts, learn something new or handle complex tasks; your subconscious mind automatically takes over, like a faithful servant. As soon as the conscious mind masters a task, for example, driving a car, it hands it over to the subconscious mind who will replay the pattern whenever required, in this case, when traffic and road conditions are safe, we will slip into autopilot and maybe even arrive at our destination without being consciously aware of how we got there, or slip back into conscious awareness at some point in the journey and not be entirely sure where we are until we pass the next familiar landmark. We seamlessly slip between the conscious and subconscious minds hundreds of times a day.
This slipping between conscious and subconscious is also why it can be so difficult to follow through with decisions such starting an exercise program or giving up smoking because as soon as your conscious mind stops focusing on the new goal, your subconscious mind will direct your behaviors back to the old established habits.
While the subconscious is excellent at handling all those tasks we no longer need full conscious awareness for, it is also an excellent multitasker, replaying all your old programming on an almost constant loop, in the background, including any disempowering beliefs that are no longer relevant or helpful. Scientists estimate that between 94% to 98% of all thoughts, on average, arise from the subconscious mind and, because of the looping effect, upwards of 90% of the thoughts that you think today will be the same as the thoughts that you had yesterday, and the day before, and the day before, which most likely means that the life that you are creating tomorrow will be exactly the same as today.
This is why people become disappointed when they first start using the Law of Attraction and don’t see immediate results. The Law of Attraction responds to our vibrations 24/7 and our conscious mind, even with the best intent and a superhuman level of focus would maybe influence only up to 10% of your thoughts and, therefore, vibrations. So, if your subconscious programming supports your Law of Attraction efforts - you will see results - fast! However, if your subconscious programming is disempowering and not in alignment with your desires, your vibrations in relation to that desire will be working against you and your results will be patchy at best and maybe even non-existent in the short term.
So, if you’re not getting the results you want with the Law of Attraction, don’t blame yourself – it’s the way you’ve been designed. But, before you get ready to give up and say “it’s no good, I’ll forever be a slave to my subconscious programming”, there are ways to change your subconscious beliefs and there are many ways to do it.
I don’t believe that there is any one method that suits everyone – we’re all individuals and what suits one may not suit another. Based on my experiences, however, here are the best ways to change your subconscious programming:
- EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and its more complicated cousin TFT (Thought Field Therapy)
- NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)
- Hypnosis
- Kinesiology and other energy therapies
- Meditation – stops the mental chatter and allows you to access the subconscious mind
- Visualisation – repetition of a powerful image will gradually change subconscious beliefs
- Affirmations – expressed in such a way that they do not oppose the existing belief so rather than “I am slim” which the mind knows is not true, try “I am in the process of becoming slim” which is far easier for the mind to accept
- Challenging beliefs as they arise through psychological techniques like rational emotive therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy
Experiment with what works best for you and, no matter which technique you choose, persistence will be the key to success.
training-your-subconscious-mind
⊆ 3:45 AM by khalil bin mokhtar | ˜ 0 comments »The subconscious mind is an extremely powerful mechanism. Each individual has an unique perspective and opinion on what success means to them. If properly trained, utilized and enacted; subconscious thoughts achieve success.
In my previous article I enlightened you on how extremely important goal-setting is. In an effort to elaborate on these details I am going to infuse your brain with something in a slightly different direction. How to maintain the mindset to achieve success.
Entirely understanding how much strength ones subconscious thoughts hold, you must first realize that there is no truth behind the term, “coincidence.” Basically, nothing in life occurs just by chance or out of luck. Absolutely nothing is predestined; you hold the power and tools to control your lifes outcome, both success and failure.
Incidents and occurances occur as a reaction or reason behind one another. The statement, “everything happens for a reason,” however, is true. The reason behind you winning four-hundred and sixty one million dollars in your local statewide lottery is because you took the initiative to purchase a lottery voucher. That ticket held the key to your current success. Therefore, you achieved success and reached your goal.
Though, there is no discouraging to the fact that individuals, at least those of us of the homo sapien race, are able to, at all times acquire everything he or she desires, however, it is true that we can utilize our subconscious power to overcome situations and events and cause them to move into the desire direction, more often than not.
It is important to remember that you subconscious thoughts are derived from your beliefs, actions and effects of situations occuring around you. Once a standard belief is drilled into your head, it becomes available via your subconscious, anytime a scenario requiring that belief occurs. For example, you believe a specific car manufacturer is unreliable, partly due to personal experiences with that brand and the fact that you have only heard negative rumors about their vehicles.
Hypothetically, this specific manufacturer makes a technological break-through with their vehicles and has a super-standard for driving performance. They are guarenteeing their automobiles will out-perform all others, yet you still believe they are horrible and unreliable means of transportation. This is because your subconscious is telling you so.
You have become so set in your methods and beliefs that you automatically develop thoughts around your subconscious. Once you have negativity surrounding a topic, extreme difficulty can be experienced when trying to remove it.
In terms of blogging, starting a blog can be extremely time consuming and difficult. It requires enormous amounts of attention and planning. Through your previous attempts you beliefe you have failed. However, with those thoughts and beliefs you will begin to imagine you will always fail in terms of your blogging endeavors.
Therefore, be courteous to yourself and your subconscious. Remember that your actions, thoughts and believes have an enormous effect on success. Always worrying about specific subjects such as money, fitness, not enough content on your blog or a lack of visitors will force you to believe you will never be healthy enough, wealthy enough or obtain the statistics to prove your blog is popular.
Set realistic goals and once accomplished, reward yourself. Kick back in your easy chair, pour your favorite beverage, be it cold tea or hot coffee and relax. Illuminate your thoughts with positive thoughts of how easy and stress free your goal has become. Ensure you spend enough time patting yourself on the back that your subconscious remembers its benefits for succeeding.
Every goal, small or large is just another step in the direction that you want to take. Everyone loves to succeed.. always!
Talking to the Subconscious Mind
⊆ 4:25 AM by khalil bin mokhtar | ˜ 0 comments »Intelligent affirmation (suggestion), thinking intelligently and strongly of the thing desired, soon becomes the predominant thought in the subconscious mind. This predominant thought becomes the pattern or blueprint which in time is materialized–inwardly and objectively–into the reality of the picture or blueprint of the predominating thought. In other words, whatever we think of oftenest and most strongly, we get (this summarizes the law of attraction). To have health and keep it, health must become a predominating thought. The way to put the subconscious mind to work, is to work on a predominant thought, talk to your subconscious mind and thus materialize the thing desired by affirmations, either silently or orally by one’s self or in the company of others.
People who do not understand the law of the subconscious mind sometimes get but slight results from affirmations because they think that positive thoughts for health, such as “I am well, whole and complete” are a lie. But, as I say, one does not always understand, the law of the subconscious. It does not reason. It does not argue. It hangs tenaciously to the thought suggested to it and when you give a positive formula for health, you are giving the most direct command to the subconscious mind to get busy on your blueprint of health. You thus become your own health architect to build strength, life, vitality and health into every cell of your being as you are controlling your subconscious mind.
Webster’s dictionary says that a lie is “a criminal falsehood, an intentional violation of the truth.” When you take a positive suggestion or formula for health, you are suggesting that the spirit within–the God-life–the great “I am” is well, whole and complete, which is absolutely correct. The spirit of man does not become sick. It is his body. We, therefore, talk directly, forcibly and positively to this well spirit (the subconscious mind) which in turn communicates the health thought to every cell of the body. This is itself intelligence which reacts and is made by the thought which the subconscious mind sends to it.
Changing the Complex : The very act of bringing to the light of consciousness the repressed ideas or the implanted obsession, when the patient’s mind is unlinked, gives him an insight into the meaning of his trouble. We let him see new points of view, we introduce fresh ideas and feelings into his complexes. In short, we reimpregnate and thus reeducate the subconscious mind. This in itself has wonderful therapeutic value as will be remembered if you recall how the mind is inextricably interwoven with the conscious and the subconscious and how the subconscious mind controls the functioning of all of the organs and senses of the body. It is apparent on the face of the matter that the mental attitude of patients suffering from any kind of disease which has been produced by wrong thinking, must be changed, new groups of complexes must be formed and this is done almost automatically when we once discover what caused the sickness.
The patient then sees life from another plane ; he regards his condition in a new light and his sickness from another angle and by taking counter suggestions — opposite thoughts — new associations and groups of complexes are called into play and the process of rehabilitation and health restoration is a simple, scientific and workable hypothesis.
Bear in mind that the subconscious mind will do anything it is given to do. It will recharge the body with health, vigor, strength–make one all over–as well as alter one’s attitude toward life entirely. The subconscious mind will change failure into success, despondency into joy, depression into happiness, futility into achievement.
Finally, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
This, in a word, is psychology as you connect to your subconscious mind. To think only of good things until the subconscious mind is obsessed with the good and so crowds out the bad as we invoke the law of attraction. Think of those things until the habit of thought has been changed. “Suggestion controls the world, and ‘All things are ready, if our minds be so.’ ”
The power of human mind
⊆ 2:27 AM by khalil bin mokhtar | ˜ 0 comments »The power of human mind
Human mind has been very powerful since the ages began, but the powers remain untapped due to ignorance towards the subject. The human mind has unlimited potential.
Your mind can create anything desired. The only requirement is to understand the proper working of your mind.
Levels of mind
Although human mind appears to works as a single unit, but as per psychologists there are different levels upon which human mind operates. The levels have been defined according to the consciousness level of mind.
The main levels defined for human mind going from highest are:
1. Super-Conscious.
2. Intuitive.
3. Conscious.
4. Pre-Conscious.
5. Subconscious.
6. Unconscious.
The super conscious is free from words and conveys to other levels of mind using intuitions. It’s the highest level of consciousness of mind.
Intuitive mind is also non-verbal and it relates scattered information to create a whole picture.
The conscious level is the one in which we are living normally. Its verbal in nature. It can think, act and analyze the situations. Its left brain oriented in nature. Majority of life runs through this conscious level only.
Pre-Conscious mind is like long term memory. We can remember the things but can’t analyze at the same time.
The subconscious mind contains deeper but consciously forgotten memories. It generates certain behaviors in human beings which decide the personality of anyone. Any suggestions which were once given consciously(although forgotten), come out in the form of personality.
Unconscious mind is never brought to conscious level. For bringing to conscious level we have to take the help of hypnotism. Otherwise its not possible. Its has the basic functionalities which nature has provided for the survival of human beings.
Subconscious Mind
Our subconscious and conscious minds play major role in shaping our life. So our primary focus will remain subconscious mind.
Functions of subconscious mind
The subconscious mind acts as translator to the conscious mind. The conscious mind takes its input from our five senses. Whatever we speak and think consciously, that acts as input to the subconscious mind. Subconscious mind records every thought it receives from the conscious mind. It can not and therefor does not reason whether the thought is good, bad or even absurd. It simply acts upon those thoughts to turn those into reality. As soon as it receives any thought from conscious mind, it immediately starts to act upon those thoughts. Its tremendously powerful.
Your Subconscious Works Non-Stop!!!
Your subconscious mind works non-stop. It is never at rest. Its always busy in creating your reality. Here are some of the functions which your subconscious mind performs:
1. It fully controls the respiratory system.
2. It fully controls the heart-beat activity.
3. It controls your digestive system process.
4. And last but not the least it acts upon your ideas.
Law of Belief
The law of life is belief. Our whole life is governed around our belief system.
The power of belief makes our subconscious work towards whatever we believe.
Subconscious is the mirror of life
The subconscious is the mirror of your life. You experience your thoughts, beliefs, opinions and theories are the manifestations of circumstances, conditions, and events which have happened in your life. The inside changes reflect outside.
The input to your subconscious is the output of your life
As per William James, the father of American Psychology, subconscious mind is having infinite wisdom and is in union with the universal intelligence. Subconscious is extremely powerful. Whatever you input to your subconscious is turned as the output of whole of your life. So it must be impressed with the right ideas.
How to get the subconscious working for you
Here are some ideas to make subconscious working for you in your favour. Realize that its always working. It never gets tired. But the whole process is silent and can’t be perceived consciously. To make subconscious work for you, you don’t have to deal with subconscious mind. The whole thing is to keep your conscious mind busy to expect the results you want. Simply believe that rest of everything will be taken care of by the subconscious mind itself. Its omnipotent and will bring about anything to your expectations.
Controlling your subconscious mind
If you want to experience the fullness of life and change it, you need to change the conditioning of your subconscious mind. For that you have to take control of your subconscious mind. Simply believe in the Success Tools and follow certain procedures to alter your limiting beliefs.Whatever comes to your conscious mind that passes to your subconscious mind. The simplest way to do this is to take in a new idea. Let idea be your life. Day and night think about that only idea. That way that idea starts sipping in your subconscious mind. Hence your conscious mind will be used to control your conscious mind.
Tools to control subconscious mind
There are four tools you can use to control your subconscious mind. These help to assimilate the idea in your subconscious mind.
Tools to use are:
1. Your wording.
2. Your visualization.
3. Your auditory senses.
4. Your kinesthetic senses.
You know enough about wordings. Let’s talk about other tools.
Creative visualization lets you consciously attract what you want. Just see the images in your mind. It’s a powerful way to condition your subconscious mind to attract, what you want. As a part of creative visualization you can use your auditory and kinesthetic senses.
Using auditory senses means to use sounds and words along with your imagination. Try to listen to every minute detail of your mental images. This helps even more to enforce the power of visualization.
Using kinesthetic senses lets you use your emotions and feelings in your imagination. Here your emotions play a dominant part.
These tools are different for different people. Because all are different, so everyone requires different sets of tools. If someone is good at imagination, visualization will work best for that person. If someone like to listen the things, then auditory senses utilization will work best for that one. If some people like to feel the things, for them kinesthetic senses involvement will do the magic.

Programming the subconscious mind
⊆ 2:09 AM by khalil bin mokhtar | ˜ 0 comments »Programming the subconscious mind is not a hard task, you just need to make the conscious mind go to sleep or at least inactive, through hypnosis for example, or any other method. It's then that you can send your suggestions directly to the subconscious mind and get it programmed.
What's good about this is that there is another programming method that can be done, even if the conscious mind is fully awake; a trusted source.
Programming the subconscious mind via a trusted source
Is there someone in your life whom you'd trust his experience and knowledge of life? Is there someone whom you know and believe to know more than you do? That person doesn't necessarily need to know more than you do in all fields of life; one field is more than enough.
You must know someone of the sort!! However, what you may not know is that most of what that person says goes directly to your subconscious with hardly any kind of filtration. It's like you're hypnotized; his words and ideas program your subconscious and affect your life greatly.
Religion and the subconscious-mind programming:
Of course if you're a believer, then there is no one that you can possibly trust more than God. Based on that, when you read your religion's Holy Book, it should directly seep into your subconscious, program it and lead you to follow what you've read.
But what if you don't feel that those ideas really got to your subconscious, despite having understood them very well? Unfortunately, that probably means that you don't trust the source a 100%; as you've seen from the examples above, once the conscious mind trusts the source, it will hardly do any filtering to what it is hearing or seeing. On the other hand, if it doesn't trust it, it will start questioning the information and filter it.
If that is the case, then make sure that you work to strengthen your faith; read as much as you can. If you're having some doubts about your religion, then search more; don't let someone fool you and seek your answers on your own.
Final words on the subconscious-mind programming
Once you program your subconscious mind you can insert any belief you want, override any belief that you don't want, change your unwanted behavior and even break bad habits; just remember that the first thing you've got to do is get the conscious mind out of your way so you can directly program the subconscious.
